Algirdas Butkevičius is on a working visit to China from 20 to 26 March. During the visit the Prime Minister is meeting with the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang who has invited Butkevičius to the Boao forum for Asia annual conference which is dedicated to the development of economic cooperation between Asia and other countries in the world.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius and OECD Secretary-General, Angel Gurría, participated in the presentation of OECD’s economic assessment of Lithuania, preceded by the bilateral meeting, where the Head of Government emphasized Lithuania’s progress and further accession arrangements.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has met with new Prime Minister of Latvia Māris Kučinskis, on his first visit to Lithuania. “It is a great honour to be in Lithuania on my first visit. Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius met with the Vice-President of the European Commission for Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič and discussed the energy issues that are important for Lithuania, the Baltic region and the whole of Europe.
