Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has sent greetings to Georgia’s new Prime Minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, on the formation of the new government and his appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia. 

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has welcomed Ambassador of Canada Alain Hausser at the Office of the Government. The Prime Minister has thanked the Ambassador for Canada’s contribution into strengthening of Lithuania’s security, and talked over cooperation between the two countries.  

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has extended greetings to Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Massimov, over the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the best wishes for the prosperous future of Kazakhstan’s people. 

On Monday, at his meeting with Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has discussed bilateral cooperation, and has invited Poland to revive strategic partnership and to hold a joint business forum in Vilnius next year.

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has sent greetings to the Finnish Prime Minister Juha Sipila and the people of Finland on the celebration of its Independence Day. 

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius received the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko who came on an official visit to Lithuania on Wednesday. During the meeting the Prime Minister expressed his strong support for Ukraine.

On the morning of 2 December, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius met with the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Dan E. Frederiksen.
