Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė congratulated the new Minister of Latvia, Evika Siliņa, on Friday. Prime Minister I. Šimonytė wished the Latvian Prime Minister E. Silina and the cabinet of ministers every success.

“Our brotherly nations are united by shared values and strategic interests. Our governments have been cooperating closely, both bilaterally and on a multilateral level, in particular, in the Baltic Council of Ministers and in the Nordic-Baltic format, the EU and NATO. I hope to maintain and deepen this close cooperation between our governments.

We have many important issues on the agenda – helping Ukraine to win the war, to implement and strengthen sanctions against Russia and Belarus, to make substantial progress on strategic infrastructure and energy projects in our region, to strengthen the rules-based international order”, states the greeting by Prime Minister I. Šimonytė.

The Head of the Government wished Prime Minister E. Siliņa every success in her work for the good of the people of Latvia.
