Prime Minister’s meeting with PKN Orlen management

Earlier today, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has met with Daniel Obajtek, President of the Management Board of PKN Orlen and Michał Rudnicki, General Director of ORLEN Lietuva.

PKN Orlen has introduced the 2030 strategy and future investments reflecting PKN Orlen’s commitments towards reduced pollution and environmental goals.

‘PKN Orlen’s investments in Lithuania should contribute to the creation of new jobs and economic recovery in the region. It is very important that environment issues remain in the radar of PKN Orlen and that investments will benefit the development of renewable energy’ said the Prime Minister.

The strategy provides for diversification leading towards zero carbon emissions by 2050.

The Poland’s Government is consolidating the group of companies, which as a result will have Lotos, PGNiG and Energa operating as one company - PKN Orlen.

The annual income of these four companies accounts for EUR 45 billion, while their net profit is EUR 1.33 billion.
