Prime Minister’s greetings to Luxembourg’s new Head of Government

Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of greetings to new Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Luc Frieden, and the new Government as it takes office.

‘I sincerely believe that during your term of office we will continue the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation as well as our collaboration in the European Union and NATO. Let me use this opportunity to express my gratitude for Luxembourg’s valuable contribution to the NATO enhanced forward presence battalion in Lithuania. I wish to assure you and the people of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg of the continued friendship of the Lithuanian Government and the people.

I look forward to working with you not only to develop closer relations between our countries but also to concert our efforts in helping Ukraine win the war against Russia’s aggression and in enhancing democratic values and peace around the world, while keeping the rules based international order’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
