Prime Minister’s greetings on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah

2023 09 15

Today, as Jewish communities in Lithuania, Israel, and around the globe celebrate the birth of the universe, please accept our warmest Rosh Hashanah greetings on behalf of myself and the Government.

As the sound of the shofar and the sweetness of honey-dipped apples fill the air, the New Year begins a sacred period for reflection, repentance, and renewal. It is a time for introspection and for contemplation on our aspirations and past year achievemnents, also on what more we can do to foster peace in our countries and the world.

I wish you all a joyful and peaceful year. May Rosh Hashanah bring happiness, health, and prosperity to your families and peace to your homes.

Shanah tovah u’metuka! May you have a good and sweet year!
