Prime Minister Welcomes New Government in Spain

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has congratulated the new Spanish Government, approved by Parliament, and its head Mariano Rajoy.

“On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, I would like to congratulate you on the formation of a new Government of Spain and your re-appointment as a Prime Minister. We are ready to cooperate closely in reaching common goals in security policy as well as other European and international issues. I firmly believe that Lithuanian and Spanish cooperation will intensify in the future”, reads the Prime Minister’s letter wishing success to the Spanish Government in its future work.
