Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has expressed his sincere condolences over the terror attack in Rambla, Barcelona, having claimed innocent lives.

The Head of Government has pointed out that attacks against the innocent are Europe’s challenge, which must be tackled across the continent through concerted efforts.

"The despicable terrorist attacks that claim dozens or even hundreds of lives and deliberately target those enjoying life cannot become daily practice in Europe nor in the world. Once and again, we see that this has become a major challenge for Europe. Therefore, through pooled efforts of the international services, we must fight this inhuman and brutal force that tramples on our values, and we will prevail”, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
