Prime Minister’s greetings to the new Government of Iceland

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings to Ms Katrín Jakobsdóttir over the formation of the new Government of Iceland and her appointment as a new Prime Minister, wishing every success in executing very important and responsible duties.

“Lithuania highly appreciates the special historical link between our countries and emotional bond between our nations. I can assure you that the Government of Lithuania is ready to continue to work with you and with the incoming Government on a bilateral basis as a close and faithful partner. I also firmly believe in our shared positions and common efforts for a peaceful and secure future of the Nordic-Baltic region”.
