On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of sincere greetings to Morocco celebrating Throne Day.

“Lithuania values its partnership with Morocco and looks forward to continuing engagement with your Government both bilaterally and at the EU level on various aspects of mutual interest. l am eager to further strengthen friendly dialogue and successful economic cooperation between our countries in the coming years, especially in exploring more possibilities for cooperation in innovative and high-tech sectors, as well as in agriculture and food industry. Allow me to take this opportunity to express my support for a strong EU-Morocco partnership and cooperation in the areas of economic development, energy, climate change, innovation, security, migration, human rights, and good governance.

As Russia continues its brutal war against Ukraine, it is of utmost importance for the entire democratic world to remain united and increase our support for Ukraine. We must also exert pressure on Russia to stop its aggression and the use of grain and hunger as manipulative weapons in this war,” reads the Head of the Government’s letter of greetings.
