Prime Minister extends greetings to Malta celebrating national holiday

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings to Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat on the occasion of the Independence Day.
“I truthfully wish your country and the people the continued well-being and every success. I am pleased to note the close partnership and political, cultural, economic collaboration between our countries, as well as the growing people-to-people contacts. Let me take this opportunity to express Lithuania’s high appreciation of Malta’s cooperation in the European Union. I trust our collaboration will gain further momentum”, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
Malta declared its independence from the United Kingdom back on 21 September 1964.
