Prime Minister extends greetings to Finland celebrating its Independence Day

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings to Finland celebrating the Independence Day.

The Head of the  Government has noted that Lithuania lends high importance to the development of close dialogue between our nations.

'People to people contacts, trade and investments, culture and education, support to European and Nordic-Baltic formats continue to be essential for our strong relationship. Acknowledging the Finnish Chairmanship of the European Council, Lithuania stands ready to support joint efforts to strengthen the unity among the European nations and to address the expectations for a secure and prosperous European Union. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania is committed to work jointly in the ongoing deliberations on the Multiannual Financial Framework, Mobility Package, EU external border and European Neighbourhood Policy', reads Prime Minister’s letter.

The Head of the Government expressed the best wishes for the concord and prosperity of Finland’s people.
