On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of greetings to the Arab Republic of Egypt celebrating Revolution Day.

“On this beautiful occasion, I would like to express our appreciation for Egypt’s continued stabilizing role in the region, as well as its mediation efforts in fostering stability, peace, and security. The deepening dialogue between Egypt and the EU is encouraging. Egypt’s contribution to Europe’s energy security and illegal migration management is highly valued.

As Russia continues its brutal war against Ukraine, it is of utmost importance for the entire democratic world to remain united and increase our support for Ukraine. We must also exert pressure on Russia to stop its aggression and the use of grain and hunger as manipulative weapons in this war.

I greatly value the friendly relations and cooperation between Lithuania and Egypt, based on our shared values, and have no doubt that these ties will be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of our countries and their people,” reads the Head of the Government’s letter of greetings.
