Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė congratulated the Estonian Government, which was sworn in on April 17, and which will continue to be led by Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
I am proud of Lithuania’s and Estonia’s continued unity in supporting Ukraine and standing up to the aggressor. Our unity sets an example for what two free nations can achieve together to nurture and strengthen the values of freedom. As very close friends and allies, today our two nations remain committed to the shared ideals of liberty and democracy and are working closely together to build a prosperous Baltic region, a strong and forward-looking Europe, and sustainable peace on our continent and beyond. I look forward to continuing working with you to further advance this cooperation,” reads Prime Minister Šimonytė’s letter.
The Head of the Lithuanian Government acknowledged Kallas’ personal contribution to the friendship and close partnership between Lithuania and Estonia and wished the Estonian Prime Minister and the entire Cabinet of Ministers smooth work, ensuring the security, welfare, and prosperity of the Estonian people.
