Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has extended greetings to Ľudovít Ódor, the new Prime Minister of Slovakia, wishing him success and the continued prosperity for the country.

In her letter of greetings, the Lithuanian Head of Government has noted the strong bilateral ties between Lithuania and Slovakia, the dynamic partnership within the EU and NATO and the common efforts to build a peaceful and secure future for the European continent.

‘Lithuania highly values Slovakia’s contribution to the NATO’s presence in the Baltic states as very important in strengthening the security of our region and beyond’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.

‘I have no doubt that with joint efforts we will continue the close cooperation and active dialogue between Lithuania and Slovakia based on the spirit of mutual understanding. I also trust that our countries will further expand bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of business, education, culture, and people-to-people contacts,’ says Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė.
